St. Vitus and the Taxi Dancers shimmied their way into the Des Moines arts scene last Valentine’s Day (2009) and have kept audiences coming back for more! They’ve performed at the hottest events and venues across the city for audiences from all walks of life. With influences stemming from the 1940’s – 1950’s era of burlesque, they pull inspiration from such classic starlets as Bettie Page, Betty Grable and Eartha Kitt.
Each performer brings her own alter ego and personality to the stage – sassy, classy, cute, geeky, elegant, or vivacious – there’s a flavor for everyone! St. Vitus and the Taxi Dancers are known for their modern-day interpretation and revival of classic dance choreography, high energy performances, comedic timing, seductive charisma and their ability to leave you wanting more.
